For home builders

Furnish every house from your own catalog.

A private Decato workspace that renders only from the suppliers you already buy through. Your price next to MSRP on every item. The spec sheet in your electrician’s hands before framing, not after someone cuts the sheetrock.

What a builder told us

A custom home builder in Florida, on why he stopped hiring decorators.

$13,000

A decorator’s markup on one $53,000 lighting package.

He built the carts himself from the same trade accounts and saved $15,000. The markup was for clicking through websites he already had logins to.

3–4 weeks

For a presentation deck that now takes the same day.

Designers were never on time and every late deck was a bottleneck on a house that was otherwise ready to move.

Sheetrock

Cut open to move a fixture that was specified wrong.

The deck looked finished. Exactly one item in it had real dimensions. The rest was decided on site, after framing, at the builder’s cost.

His words for what the designer’s renders showed: “complete fantasy, nothing connected to real.” Windows that were not in the house. Fixtures that were not the ones he wanted anyone to buy.

How it works

Your catalog goes in. A house you can order comes out.

Decato already does this from IKEA and Wayfair for anyone who downloads it. For a builder, the catalog is yours, the pricing is yours, and nobody outside your company sees either.

  1. 01

    Your suppliers, loaded in

We ingest the trade accounts you already buy through: products, specifications, dimensions, finishes, imagery and your trade pricing. Discount tiers and freight thresholds are set per supplier.

  2. 02

    Renders from your products only

Upload the floor plan. Decato reads it into an editable, dimensionally accurate plan and furnishes each room from your catalog. Every item in the picture is a real SKU you can order today, at the price you actually pay.

  3. 03

    Two prices on every item

Retail MSRP and the client price with your markup, side by side. The margin that went to a decorator stays with the company that is building the house.

  4. 04

The spec sheet your crew works from

Click any fixture: name, manufacturer, finish, dimensions, mounting height. The same file produces the client presentation and the bill of materials your electrician and plumber build from, before anyone frames a wall.

The first month

Two weeks to a working workspace. Then real houses.

Weeks 1–2

We build.

Your suppliers go in, the catalog is cleaned and indexed so a sofa, a rug and a light fixture it puts in the same room belong together, and your private workspace is stood up and tested against one of your own spec houses. At the end of week two you have a working workspace and one finished house to look at.

Weeks 3–4

You put it to work.

Real projects, with Aram alongside you on the first one. A catalog gap, a pricing rule, how the spec sheet should read for your electrician — it comes straight to us, and Decato ships continuously, so what you tell us in week three tends to show up in the product, not in a queue.

You are subscribing to a product we improve, not commissioning a custom build. You get everything we ship for everyone, not a private fork that ages. Your workspace, your trade pricing and every project in it stay private to your company.
