Three monthly payments cost more than a whole year up front. Most software charges 15 to 20% extra for monthly billing; this charges 300%. Unless you know you are stopping inside three months, there is no reading of the numbers where monthly is the right button.

02The free tier is a catalogue demo
Unlimited projects sounds generous, and it is, but you get about half the furniture library and you cannot upload a floor plan. Uploading a plan and having it converted is the single feature that brings most people to Planner 5D, and it sits behind Premium.
03It is genuinely fast
Where Planner 5D earns its place is speed and approachability. Someone who has never used design software can lay out a room in an evening and get something presentable. For a homeowner planning one room, that is worth more than precision.
04The price estimator is not a specification
Professional includes a price estimator, which sounds like the sourcing problem solved. It estimates. It does not hand you named products with live stock and a link to buy. That distinction is the whole gap between a nice render and something a client can order.
Who it is right for
Someone furnishing their own place who wants to see it before buying. The learning curve is close to zero, it runs in a browser and on a phone, and $59.99 for a year of the full catalogue is not much to risk on finding out whether the sofa fits.
Designers use it too, mostly for quick concept work rather than for anything a client signs off.
